Australian Bollywood actress Tania Zaetta was arrested Monday for obstructing police and public nuisance over an alleged disturbance at a Queensland nightclub.
Zaetta, who recently moved back to Australia once many years primarily based overseas, was detained in Surfers Paradise early Monday, the Gold Coast Bulletin said.
"It looks a 41-year-old girl from New South Wales was arrested for obstructing police and conjointly public nuisance," a spokesman for Queensland police told AFP, while not naming the girl.
According to a press release released by her management, Zaetta can "protest her innocence to the costs and strenuously defend the matters in Court".
"She appearance forward to mounting her defence and to clearing this matter up through the acceptable channels," the statement said.
"Any inference or suggestion through media reports that alcohol has played any role during this matter are ludicrous and baseless."
Zaetta rose to prominence in Australia as a number of the sport show Who Dares Wins, a program modelled on its British counterpart that needed her to perform daredevil stunts.
