Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) MNA Marvi Memon has resigned from the National Assembly as well as from the basic party membership on Wednesday.
Talking to the media outside the Parliament House, she said that PML-Q could not come to the expectations of the people. She said that the party leadership was working for vested interest.
According to sources, Marvi opposed the party’s joining of the government.
She had also opposed the federal budget 2011-12 for which the party leadership had questioned her.
She said that she would not take back her resignation.
